OF Donations Benefit: THe Salvation ARmy

The 704 Coat Drive was presented by Charlotte Mechanical and benefited the Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte. The annual two-month campaign recruited fellow Charlotte organizations to place coat donation barrels at their businesses/offices. All coats collected were distributed to the Salvation Army's and who distributed to those in need. Through the love, generosity and help of special partnerships, the 704 Coat Drive helped keep our neighbours warm.
For 12 years, Charlotte Mechanical— the area's premier heating, cooling and plumbing service provider— helped more than its customers stay warm during the cold season months. What started in 2010 as a small donation of coats from owners Steve and Nancy McLaughlin and their friends, became the company’s largest community event: the 704 Coat Drive. Charlotte Mechanical funded everything 100% with zero cost to The Salvation Army or any location.
You can always make a monetary donation to The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte. All the money donated will go toward buying new coats for those in need. Those coats will be distributed to Salvation Army’s shelters in Charlotte. Every little bit helps to keep Charlotte warm this winter!
